I found this book disappointingly difficult to read. The only reason I persevered and finished it was because it was relatively short.

For me, there were too many characters who were very briefly introduced and then referred back to later with just a name and no prompt as to who they were, so most of my time was spent flicking back to see who was being talked about, especially as I personally didn’t find the plot gripping enough to read very much at once.

There was a good twist, but by that point I was already just looking forward to finishing the book and moving on to something else. It could have been a great Christie-esque mystery if more care was taken to make the characters memorable on introduction, or some other prompt used as a reminder when talking about them later.

I am sure others will enjoy it, but it wasn’t really for me.
