I wasn't familiar with Sarah Totton's work previously. But I really liked her style. And it looks like in Animythical Tales, she experienced a few different things. The book is a collection of short stories that I would call surrealist. Most of them reflect dark tones even though there are a few that are oddly humourous.

All in all I'm glad that I read this book and I truly enjoyed it. Some of the stories were very deep and made me really think about them.
