3.75 ✨ this was such a quick and easy read. I am also in love with Mr Daniel Daniel’s after reading his and Ashlyn’s story. It was a beautiful tale of forbidden soulmates however there were small moments where it missed the mark for me especially Ryan’s journey ❤️

What an absolute delight this was 😍😍😍
I was 4 stars up until the last 3-4 chapters and it tipped me over the edge. I happened to have been listening to it via audiobook, on my lunch break, in a sushi train and I was practically bawling my eyes out 😂 Such a sorrowful and tragic story at times although sweetly beautiful. There was a delicate growth for the FMC; coming to terms with her own uniqueness away from her twin and to fall in love for the first time was so pure. How could I not love every single character in this? Everyone had their own path to take and although some characters weren’t as deep as others, I felt I was ready to take a three book journey to learn about everyone single one of them 😂 And those letters that Gabby wrote 😭😭 Killed me. Fair warning ‼️ suicide, gender struggles, cancer, parental/child separation, drugs, and murder themes are in this one ‼️ The title suited this perfectly 👌🏽

I don’t really know how to describe how much I loved this book?? When I’m given a FMC who pulls books out at parties and starts to read? Hello, hi you are my people. Every single character was so flawed but lovable - and UGH the redemption arc for Ashlyn’s parents was so goooood 🥹
Forbidden romances are my bread and butter - I will read them until the day I die and never grow tired of them. So a student/teacher relationship that started before they knew? SAY LESS. Although it was only a small age gap, it still made for so much angst.
PSA: if you want a sure fire way to make me cry, have the FMC open letters from her sister who passed away. I think I made it through about one or two of those before they made me WEEP.
I don’t think I can ever forgive Brittainy for what she did to me around the 70% mark. It was cruel and poetic but not in the good way? No spoilers, just know that this is not sunshine and rainbows. I was in tears for the last 30% minimum - just solid tears leaking for 1.5+ hours 😭 10/10 recommend 💯
Obviously 5 stars - Very little spice and character growth everywhere. Its perfect to me 🩷

5 Stars!!!
I loved everything about this book!! First of all, I'm a huge fan of teacher/student stories. It's hard to find those who are good enough to really enjoy them, and this one was amazing.
It didn't feel fake or rushed or forced. The story had a lot of details that made this book so brilliant. The Sheaks connection, Gabby's letters... It was a ride full of emotion and intensity. The feelings were so deep and real. I don't even know what to say to describe how perfect it was.
The relationship between Daniel and Ashlyn was incredible from the moment they met. I could feel the connection they shared, how much they felt for each other all the time. The secrecy was so intimate and believable. I've read a lot of boos about teachers who fall in love with their students, and the plot is the same most of the time. You are constantly waiting for the moment they get caught. But in this case, I enjoyed the whole thing. The time in between, the secondary characters... There was a lot of angst, but it made you feel, and connect with the characters.
So I highly recommend this book. It was amazing and so worth your time.

This was a perfect story. It was a forbidden love that makes you want to love like them. It is one of my all time favourites. Ms. Cherry's writing style was perfect and he use of alternate point of views worked to her advantage because while I was reading the book, I was able to distinguish the two characters apart by their voice. I think every girl want a guy like Mr. Daniels because he is able to convey his feelings but also understands what Ashlyn is going through. I loved the messages that Ashlyn's sister leaves and I love that Ashlyn's sister made Ashlyn a bucket list of thing she has to accomplish. I also loved Ryan but felt sad for him in the middle of the book. Great book.
