Absolutely blown away by this book and concept and really couldnt put it down. I took so many photos of passages of text so I can refer back to them, because a lot of the underlying messages really hit home. Definitely give this one a chance.
This is indeed felt close to me, it feels personal.
The endless of what ifs, what ifs, what abouts, how ifs...
The Midnight Library can also be perceive as self-help book and I have highlighted a lot of messages. It was warm as well. I understand how people can feel disconnected with this book because it's lack of depth on certain issues.
But nevertheless, I will certainly read his other book.

Haig’s story of Nora and her library may be somewhat predictable but his writing resonates in beautiful ways.
i ABSOLUTELY loved this. It was amazing. I want to read this over and over again!
“Between life and death there is a library, and within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices… Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?”
I was very reluctant to read this book as i dont read alot of science fiction/fantasy type books but this book hit me hard. Not with the words but with the emotions. This story had a really interesting concept about when your between life and death you enter the midnight library, where you get the opportunity to see how your life would've been different had you made different decisions?
I love the way this book talks about regrets and how most of the time our regrets are a load of bullshit of things that are out of our control and can cause many burdens in our life.
Matt Haig is such a talented writer and there are so many passages and quotes that made me ponder. this book has you questioning what the point of life is and thinking how truly absurd life can be.
This truly was a beautiful book and one where I will be thinking about for months to come. This is what makes a book. One that has you thinking after you have finished it
“We only need to be one person.
We only need to feel one existence.
We don't have to do everything in order to be everything, because we are already infinite. While we are alive we always contain a future of multifarious possibility.”
