Easily my favorite of the series! As always Annabeth’s books are like comfort listening, but this one also had me cackling out loud multiple times because Avery is out here just blurting out the funniest things.

This was also a bit higher in the spice department than the first three books imo, but it didn’t feel forced and worked naturally for the story. Their dynamic was like the perfect combo of what we got from Dustin & Wes (Wheels Up) and Josiah & Ryan (Connection Error).

I love this series so much and can't wait to see what comes next. This one was great with the chemistry of the men before they realized what they were really feeling. These two were so sexy and hot together, couldn't put the book down. I loved it and this series so much.

Nothing worse than being dumped right before Valentine's Day, so when Avery finds himself alone his co-worker at A-List decides to take him to dinner. But what starts off as just a simple friendship turns into so much more when Avery is faced with feelings he had no idea where there. Can you fall in love in an instant before you even realizer your orientation? Or will Avery stay in the closet and wonder why all other relationships have failed? Annabeth Albert has a beautiful way to make the unlikely loveable character into a favorite. Malik and Avery's road to discovery is written with honest feelings and a boatload of integrity. This was a joy from the beginning to the end.

Rocky Start is an amazing story of sexual awakening, finding love, and finding your place in the world.

This is also a double bodyguard/double sexual awakening romance, featuring one sweetheart of a himbo and one sexy former intelligence officer, and it is so damn good. I’m not sure I’ll have space to go into everything I loved about this book, but it’s pretty much everything.

The smallest son of a football legend, Avery is a former SEAL who has been trying to prove his worth and his manliness his whole life. Working with A-List Security, he’s made friends with Malik, whose time in the service has left him with PTSD. After Avery’s girlfriend dumps him right before Valentine’s Day, Malik offers a consolation bros night out, and the two complement each other perfectly. They share a ridiculously hot kiss, and soon they are both wondering what that means for themselves and their relationship. A new job sends them to a remote location, working and rooming together, and neither man can deny they want more. They embark on a sexual exploration that is so deliciously steamy, but also sweet and tender at times. They each want to take care of the other — and they both want to resist that protection. Can they come to terms with who they are when it’s time to return to their lives?

I loved Avery and Malik — both together and on their own. Avery is so damn sweet, and a little oblivious, and my heart breaks for him as he tries to reconcile the notion of “manhood” that he was raised on with who he is. And when Malik needs him, Avery steps up so gloriously despite his fears. And Malik! I loved how much he cared for Avery and wanted to help him explore who he was and who he wanted to be, and he was willing to meet him where he was, never pushing but always supporting. (Swoons all around!)

This is the fourth book in the A-List Security series, but it can easily be read as a standalone — I recommend the whole series, but this one really stands out. I don’t usually commit to favorites, but Avery and Malik are so, so special to me. Highly, highly recommend.

I enjoyed how Avery, who is a good guy but chooses women who aren't really interested him in the way he wants, gets closer to his co-worker and friend, Malik. When a night out together when neither of them have a date for valentine's day goes in an unexpected direction, it leaves Avery shaken and skewed Malik's vision of what he wants out of a relationship. I like how they grow together, finding out what they like and don't with each other, and it makes their relationship stronger. It's a good read with great characters!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Rocky Start and it was definitely an enjoyable read!

Loved Malik and Avery and all the struggles to love and be themselves!

Avery realising he can be who he wants to be is well written and Malik is a perfect partner in this dual coming out read..

This has got to be my favourite of this series. I really loved Harley and Ambrose, but the relationship between these two just has everything you would want as a reader. Care and communication (eventually) just underpin everything these two are and my little heart just squeezes every time I read them. Loved it from start to finish!
