I really like graphic novel nonfiction.
Maybe a sultry summer day wasn't the best day to read about cooking ramen? But the illustrations were fun, and I do like this as a format for foodie lit/cookbooks generally. Maybe I'll come back to it in cooler weather

Did not finish.
I love the idea of a comic book cookbook. It's cute. And the presentation and execution here is just what I wanted it to be.
It's interesting, and I might keep flipping through it, but I decided to stop reading it seriously once I got to the broth section and realized that I'm just not the target audience here. There are no meat free broth options, and I kind of lost it when I got to the part where they showed and talked about boiling the feet of chickens and pigs because "joints mean cartilage, and cartilage means collagen, and that means good soup!" Now I can't help but look at my own hands and fingers and wonder what kind of good soup they'd make

Aaah! I'd love a physical copy of this to add to my other cookbooks. Honestly, this looked great, and the notes and supplements were very interesting and helpful.

Such a fun and informative cookbook! If you are a ramen lover or just a food lover, you will love reading this cookbook!
I will read any food-based graphic novel. This was a fun look at the history of ramen. The illustrations were really delicious!
This book--wow. So good, so fun, loved it! Awesome ramen info and gorgeous illustrations. Can't wait to surprise my daughter with it for Christmas. And so grateful to live in Austin, home of the greatest ramen restaurant Ramen Tatsu-ya.
Really cool, graphic cook book! I read it on Libby as an ebook, but I need to order the phycical book for my teen who loves to cook ramen!
This...did not encourage me to delve into the world of making my own ramen the way I hoped it would, though I am always there for comic cookbooks and Sarah Becan's art. Everything here seemed too complicated--the ingredients too hard or expensive to procure (especially living out in the boonies as I am right now), and I am not in the financial position to justify getting much of the equipment. It was recipe-heavy rather than story-heavy...more [b:Cook Korean!: A Comic Book with Recipes|27209316|Cook Korean! For now, I'm content paying for others to make my good bowl of ramen.
This cookbook goes a long way towards demystifying and simplifying a really rewarding cooking style.
Buku masak pertama ku baca tahun ini dengan format illustrasi komik nya yang bikin mau makan ramen
