This author writes the most demented and addictive books. I love getting lost in these epic tales of high emotions and searing chemistry. I am enjoying this almost as much as some of her other series that I have devoured. Any flaws are easy to overlook. Highly entertaining and the escape I was looking for.

I usually don’t like series that follow on couple over a trilogy but this had me invested.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book! I was a little confused in the beginning, and I’m still confused about how an demon can disguise himself as an angel, then become one. I think that the similarities between angels and demons are enough that this is possible, perhaps?

Love the idea of two enemies falling in love with deception and unknown angst.

OMG I absolutely inhaled this book

It got me hooked from the first 10 pages.

The angst, oh lord, that was good. The anticipation of the big reveal got me at the edge of my seat.

The book is mainly focused on relationships, I would've liked a bit more complex plot with greater world-building. But the smut, oh lord, it was yummy. The love between those two was a bit insta-lovey which is not my favourite but somehow it worked in this premise.

Also, Mikhail had almost zero personality, I can't say more than three things about him. On the other hand, Severn has personality, even two LOL. His character did an epic 180 in this book. It was too fast and drastic for my liking but oh well, we need to compensate for bland Mikhail I guess.

This was my first Ariana Nash book. I’ve had other books from her on my TBR for a while, but I read this one first because I’m in the mood to read about people with wings, and this came up in my search. I liked this world of angels and demons, and most aspects of the writing style (when it comes to the sex scenes and the descriptions there, I struggled with how it’s written). In the beginning I was interested in the romance, and I do love the enemies to lovers trope. But I started to lose interest in the romance a little after halfway through the book, and though the ending made things a little more exciting, I’m still not 100% deeply invested. I think I’ll read some other books I have on my list before I continue with this series, but I do want to continue it. It has the potential to drag me in, and I want that to happen. I’ll just have to wait and see.

Loved everything about this book and I'm kicking nyself that I waited so long to read it.

I loved the characters
The starcrossed lovers.
The steam
The chemistry
The angst
Everything

The only thing I was ambivalent about was the shift from hate to ILYs....a bit insta-lovey but I let it go.

Ariana Nash is certainly an awesome world builder. Onto book 2!

"Mikhail placed a soft kiss on the back of Severn’s neck. “You ruin me…” he whispered.
Severn grinned over his shoulder, proud to see Mikhail’s eyes glassy, pupils full from desire. “I’ve only just begun.”

“I love you. That is no lie.”

“But it was more than angel, it was bright and hot and everything. It was Mikhail.
