This is the first time I read Sci-Fi Horror. It was a strange read. I didn't like the writing style, it was very passive and comical compared to the genre/stakes of the story (though I think that was the reason for it, just that it could've been a bit better in that department), and honestly, the characters were childish/behaved more like teens in a YA despite this being Adult (there are swears in this book, which IMO didn't need to be there). The chapters also end strangely/could've ended better (the first few chapters are too long and wordy/info-dumpy). Also, the ending was kinda anti-climactic, like there was more to the story, but it just ends like that?

Wouldn't recommend.
