This book is a great mythology that was created by Joseph Smith. He along with his family were treasure seekers originally. However after a bit of delving into things like supernatural inquiry and precious metal seeking rods, he came up with a tale of “the gold plates”. This eventually turned into “the Book of Mormon”. There are some great things contained in this book, like loving people, God helping lift burdens, and some fun stories. However, despite there being great things contained, there are also many sexist and racist elements to the book. Another thing to note is that Joseph’s translation story is a bit odd... and though many mormons claim this to be “the truest book on earth” it in fact doesn’t hold up to any archeological inquires on the matter. If you believe any part of this review is false, please message me. I’d be happy to discuss and update my review accordingly.

I know this book to be the word of God. It testifies of Christ! I know that by following it's precedes we can find the path of happiness back to our loving Heavenly Father. I know God lives, as does His son, Jesus Christ.

I just finished this book yesterday, though not for the first time. I have not kept track of how many times I have read it cover to cover, but I study from it every day. It is my favorite book and it is life changing! I find new insights each time I study it, insights that lead me to greater peace and hope.
I love that the subtitle is "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" because as I've looked specifically for Christ in this book, I am amazed at what I learn about Him.

This entire book is about love. I feel so much love from God and for others when I read it.

2 Nephi 1:15

2 Nephi 26:33
“He inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come into him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.”

A book I'm always reading. As I read it striving to learn how to drive closer to Jesus Christ, I always find my thoughts turned to Him. I believe it is an inspired book written and translated by prophets of God.

best book ever! Testifies of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The spirit pours from its pages and one is only filled with hope and peace after reading it.

7/19/14 Just finished the 30 day challenge! And let me tell you, it was a challenge! But it gave me an excuse to be in the scriptures for about an hour a day! Tough challenge, but well worth it!

12/29/18 Just finished President Nelson's invitation to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. Love this book.
