dark mysterious tense medium-paced

brb just staring at the wall

*second read

It might actually drive me INSANE because
I know that everyone is probably lying to some degree and people EMBELLISH or downplay or WHATEVER BUT
I need to know what actually happened minute for minute during those 5 weeks with EVERYONE
Every tribe, the WARTHOGS ??!?!!
like pls let me follow this exact storyline but a longgggbook that’s like a character study of the people that were interviewed ?? Like give me drama, romance, fighting death (BUT THERE IS NO ACTUAL TRUTH ITS FICTIONAL ASDFGHHH

A very gore filled Lord of the Flies-esc novel  about a group of young adults who get stranded at an amusement park after a hurricane and fall into barbaric ways. First and foremost, this was a very entertaining story and I found myself staying up later than I wanted multiple times just to keep reading. A small part of me wishes this was written in a standard story telling way rather the eye witness interview perspective it had. I feel the interview style allowed him to tell all the various different viewpoints but limited him writing and imagery wise. Although it felt a little far fetched at times, this gets major props from purely an entertainment standpoint.

I still don't know how I really feel about this book but the documentary approach to a horror-lord of the flies type of thing was really cool. Still I don't know if I liked it but listening to it as an audio book helped for sure
