hot dutch daydream
3.5 ✨

overview: now I need to experience my own summer in Amsterdam immediately

Listened to this audiobook on a car ride. Cute enough and had an easy plot to listen to and understand. Main character was kind of cheesy at times but she was also 17 and a nerd so it was fine lol.

Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read this eARC!

This was a fun, quick, light read. Sage and Ryland had a sweet dynamic, it was so easy to root for them! I haven't read many grumpy/sunshine tropes, but this was done so well! All of the characters were extremely likeable, Sage was hilarious, the banter was witty. Super enjoyable and lighthearted!

Really fun romance set in Amsterdam. Especially loved all the details on the setting and how they were sprinkled through naturally.

-3 / 5 stars

Saw this cute pink cover in Haarlem, Netherlands in a very small local bookstore, while solo traveling and I thought this would be the perfect end to the trip, a romance made in Netherlands could be fun

Next on my list for reading all of Kristy Boyce’s work was Hot Dutch Daydream! This follows Sage, a character from Hot British Boyfriend, and I am so glad we got her story!! Sage is one of my favorite characters from this series; she is smart, determined, focused, and organized. My girl!! I really enjoyed seeing her open up about her dad’s death and how it has affected almost every aspect of her life. She has kept so much bottled in for much of her life, so to see her explore those feelings with someone as wonderful and caring and gentle as Ryland was really touching. Really glad Kristy Boyce decided to expand on the Hot British Boyfriend friend group!
