I loved this book! I enjoyed Rebel Lover (book 1) and couldn't wait to see where the story went next. Rebel Lies exceeded my expectations. Sursy and her demons are just so damn entertaining. The story that is building through the first two books comes to an amazing head (no spoilers here) that will leave you gasping for the next book. Heartbreaking, sexy and a damn good read!

Rebel Lies kickstarts the story from where it lefts off from book 1. Surcy is still without memory of her relationship with her demon lovers; Mark, Tristan and Daniel. Although with her time spent doing missions to find the Immortals, she can't help but start to feel and fall in love all over again with her men. Unbeknown to her, she may just putting them all in danger from Caine. I enjoyed reading this second installment as it tells the backstories of the men. I loved that I get to know and connect to them more from this development in the story. I cannot wait to read the last book because of that ending. What a cliffhanger!

I received an ARC and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Book two of Surcy's story had a bit more action going on. I enjoyed learning some of Mark's background. It was nice to see some of the other immortals. The ending though got me and I am anxious to see what happens next. A quick read but enjoyable!

Surcy is back with her three demons. She is still struggling with the loss of her memories, her wings, and who she was before. Her demons are struggling as well. They wish to be with her but the loss of her memories is hitting them hard, but the war goes on with or without them. They must find the Immortals before Caine can destroy them or else all is lost.
Rebel Lies by Lacey Carter Andersen is book two in her Mates of the Realms: Immortals series. I appreciate how the author gives us background on one of Surcy’s demons. It’s informative and heartbreaking at the same time. The storyline is engaging from beginning to end. There are surprising moments, steamy situations, and moments that will truly break your heart. This book is well balanced with the different things that the author brings to the storyline.
There isn’t much that I don’t like about this story, but there are a couple of things that I did find annoying or out of line. I have to admit that I am annoyed/disappointed in Surcy. Her instincts on more than one occasion signal to her that something is off, but every time but one she chooses to ignore them. I’d think that by the second time at least that she would start to listen to her instincts instead of choosing to ignore them again and again. Another time is when one of her demons is scolding her for something she can’t help. I get that they want her to remember how things once were, but since she doesn’t it’s on them to understand and not act like spoiled children or act like she’s in the wrong for something she can’t control.
All in all, I truly enjoyed this story and it was definitely hard to put down. I like that this story has some twists and surprises in it that the reader won’t see coming. I’m eager to read the next book in this series. Despite my complaints about this story, I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you have read this series up to this point I highly recommend that you pick this book up and dive in, but be prepared for anything!

That ending though!

***Warning this review may contain spoilers ***

Once I started this book I could not put it down.
Surcy and her demon men go through so much in this book.
They are still trying to follow through on the mission to take Caine down.
I went through so many emotions as the story progressed.
The ending burned! Such a cliffhanger! I wanted to throw my kindle at the wall because of Mark! Gah! So angry and sad! Can't wait to read the next one!

Rebel Lies is the second book in Mates of the Realms: Immortals series, which continues on immediately following Rebel Lovers with Surcy, Mark, Daniel and Tristan’s story.
You will be taken on a journey with this Angel and Demons from a second chance at love to heartbreak and loss. With one massive cliffhanger.
I enjoyed this much more than this first book in the series, and there’s a clear definition of which characters POV is being told in this story.

This is the second book in the series, following an angel, her 3 demons and their mission to overthrow Caine and restore balance to the world. No mean feat!

The book contains a good blend between Surcy rediscovering herself and her relationship with the 3 demons, and the ongoing battle to find the missing Immortals. It starts with a bit of history into Mark, one of the demons, whose talents are particularly relevant to the plot and finishes with a huge cliffhanger - can't wait for the next one!

I received an advance copy of this in exchange for my honest review.
