It was a pleasure returning to Janloon, albeit briefly in novella form. Fonda Lee’s Green Bone Saga is among my favorite series read these last few years. The Jade Setter of Janloon was a worthy return to this incredible world.

it was such a good feeling to be back in the world of kekon and green bones! for such a short story, this did an excellent job presenting janloon from a different perspective and expanding on the worldbuilding from jade city. the cameos from certain characters were welcomed warmly from me too :')

This was such a fun novella to read after finishing Jade Legacy. It gave a small glimpse of some of the characters from the main series while remaining a standalone story. It was so satisfying to see younger versions of those characters appear while also meeting new ones.
