Don’t have much to say on this one, since its so short, but I very much enjoyed getting a different viewpoint in the Greenbone Saga. I think this is a good glimpse into standard life for those outside the clan families but are still directly effected by their actions and fighting. Also love any chance to see Kaul Hilo <3<3

“The Jade Setter of Janloon” is perfect. As a stand-alone novella set in a larger series, its white-knuckle thriller compliments (but never overshadows) the larger stakes of the Green Bone Saga.
An enjoyable return to what has become one of my favorite fictional universes. Jade Setter is a tight crime story of a stolen jade weapon and the deadly consequences surrounding it. Although the mystery is fairly straightforward, the world and the characters of Fonda Lee still stands head and shoulders above her peers. Jade Setter is a fast, fun read that fleshes out an already vibrant setting.
