An absolute joy to read as we share the aches and pains of all those cycle miles and enjoy the scrumptious meals as she travels the length and breadth of France.
I am in awe of her achievements.

This book felt like it took forever, mostly because I was supposed to read it in time for January We Bike Book Club and it's been sitting on my shelf ever since.

This is a travelogue with a ton of food reviews and food descriptions in. Cloake is a food writer and she took a bike trip through France to try all the regional foods and rate croissants. I really liked the stories, but got tired of descriptions of food. I might try a few of the recipes. I wanted to hear more stories of people, but most of the book is "I have a reservation here at ___ and I need to make it to the reservation, bike bike bike" followed by "This is what I had and why it's so good." That's the whole book.

I enjoyed reading about all the places she visited and the local colour. The actual food critiques and cycling stuff was way too privileged a viewpoint for me to get behind.

Fun and lively for food and travel lovers. This made me really wish to visit France (like I already needed a reason) and just go food hopping. Loved the artwork in between the pages. It just geled so well with the whole idea of the book.

A hugely enjoyable two-wheeled-gastro-tour of France. Perked up with wit, a sprinkling of history and lots of patisserie. I listened to the audiobook, which is read by Felicity Cloake and would thoroughly recommend.
