Ok, there were so many things wrong and borderline unhealthy about this relationship. From the sexual harassment from the FMC trying to seduce the MMC to the way she inserted herself in her brothers marriage.

Hot and fun to read.

I ADORE this series! I found them when they were under their original titles and even have many of the original paperback copies.
I was able to ask Elle to sign one at Apollycon

Good but not great.

This was hard to read and I almost DNF’d multiple times because the plot was really lacking. There are a lot of Elle Kennedy books I like but I think this being older she maybe hadn’t found her groove yet. The writing is immature and just cringey overall, transitions are awkward, and the character development was severely lacking.

Overall didn’t feel much chemistry between Jen and Cash and spent most of the book rolling my eyes at how shallow their relationship was.

A great intro to the series but not a very feasible story. You knew how this was going to play out in the first chapter. Overall, fun and sexy, but not the best.

Having read more recent works by Elle Kennedy, I can say that her craft has certainly improved over time. Not that this book was terrible or anything - I enjoyed the read for the most part. But it's not one I can imagine ever reading again... even though those sex scenes were nicely steamy.

As another reviewer said, this book doesn't pretend to be something it's not. And I can appreciate it for what it is.
