Ali Hazelwood the woman that you are. I loved every bit of this. She truly nails a man who YEARNS.

he yearned for YEARS. YEARS!! i loved all of the breadcrumbs throughout this and it was clear to me pretty on that Guy was going to be the bad guy here but I didn’t expect him to try and kill her! what a dramatic twist LOL

Hey hi hello🙂 This entire review is basically me trying to figure out what to rate this book, soooo let’s get into it🫠

Yall remember when I said the first 25% of this book pissed me off real bad?🥴 Well the last 20% of the book pissed me off even more😂 but I’ll get into that in a second🥲

The first like 40% of the book was one big miscommunication trope and those are always. . .fun🙄 It was mostly on the FMC, Bee’s, end. Most of her conversations with the MMC, Levi, consisted of “I know we hate each other, but. . .” and it got kind of irritating after a while🫩

Then it was smooth sailing!

Until it wasn’t😵‍💫 How the last 25% of the book turned into a romantic suspense/mystery I have absolutely no clue, but it happened. . .and it shouldn’t have. . .like at all😬

And there was one loose end that wasn’t tied up at the end and that left me kind of perplexed and that makes me mad😩 (are yall seeing the pattern here?🥴

But I will say that this one was VERY deliciously spicy🥵🤭 so that made up for a lot of things🥴

Overall, I enjoyed most of this book and I’m glad I read it, but I probably wouldn’t read it again🫣

It took me a little while to get into this (like 50 pages), but once it hooked me I was determined to finish it quickly. It was predictable at times, but I loved the relationships and how smart and successful Bee is. I was annoyed in the middle of the book at Bee's no one could really love me attitude. I've read that in a few books this year and I want that belief to change, women should know their worth and celebrate good things happening, not be filled with fear that bad could happen.

Ali Hazelwood’s writing is just as addictive and easy to consume as candy. I zoomed through this book and adored every second of it. The characters are quirky, the pop culture references are on point, the plot is reasonably paced and the romance is both steamy and heart warming.
