I really liked the character writing but the plot lost be about 2/3 the way through. It took me forever to read because it started to drag. But I did love the romance and the descriptive writing was great!

This book was so fun to read also fuck yeah a good sapphic fantasy i havent read one of those in a while. I think every character actually had their arcs resolved in a good way and the twists actually made sense. This book has the vibes of atla and is good at delivering the world building in a consise way and not throwing it all at me first chapter. I do wish a little bit more of the other tribes/provinces were shown more i felt like that was lacking but overall i really enjoyed the book.

This book was so sweet, but also so sad. I almost cried during some scene. I loved the slow burn romance and the found family was so cute. The plot twist was quite heartbreaking, both of them. They weren't shocking, but still worked, because of their impact. The characters were well developed, but I would have loved to see an outburst from MC, but it made sense from her personality. I kinda wanted the ending to change, especially a different solution to the problem of the MC. But it was really good and better than I expected, because I got it on a whim.

I'm suprised I don't usually see this book on tiktok or wherever because it was truly appealing, but oh well...if it's tiktok then they're all gonna talk about only the same 6 books or so.

Although, I really missed a map from it, I love to check out the locations the characters are currently located. I have to admit that the beginning of the plot unfolded rather slowly but worth the waiting. Also would have loved to read more about the Star Isles and Percy's origin, his character was so fun and interesting.

It wasn't as good as I had hoped. It covers racism and a holocaust. I enjoy the gay representation, however the plot fell completely apart at the end. The author brought back killed off characters in the most cliche way possible. Instead of using a character that was wonderfully set up to be a villain and plot twist, they brought back someone to be the villain because they said so. Very upsetting. The end was so poorly written. Highly disappointing. Not to mention that if you're not going to write good plot, at least give me fan service; they didn't even give that. The relationship never went through and there is not a book 2 despite being set up like there was going to be one. If I could give this no stars or negative stars, I would. This book is now my bar. It's the worst book I've come across and I warn people not to read it.
