After reading reviews and seeing reactions, I was set up not to like this as much as I wanted. But I actually enjoyed it more than I expected. A lot, actually.

What I loved most was that it was a "real" romance. It was messy and slow and out of order. It gave me anxiety and then comfort and then made me sad. There were kids, and clutter and a whole lifetime in between.

I think this book resonated with me where I am now. What I would see for myself in that situation. How my priorities would shift for my kids.

Rainbow's books always make me feel something, and this was no exception.

It has been a long time since I identified as much with a main character as I did with Shiloh. Our details may differ, but so many pages of this book were like seeing through my own thoughts written out on the page. Everything I've ever read by Rainbow Rowell has been excellent, and this one is no different.

Loved it. Related to Shiloh so much, saw many parts of myself in her. This is friends to lovers done right in my opinion. I liked the miscommunication trope because it was well done and felt realistic. The way they're both crazy in love with each other but so afraid and anxious to take a chance due to personal reservations and insecurities 😩😩

I didn’t think I was going to like the book based on where the direction went, but it ended up being truly sweet and the very last chapter just got me. So sweet
