Typical Rainbow Rowell - in the best way. How it reads so easily into a step into a normal life scenario of familiarity and non-linear memories. 

I always appreciate the non-linear threading - jumping from characters and moments, back and forth and then further back until it all ties together, including the gaps and perspectives. 

It’s filled with familiarity of mistakes, simple moments of teenage life, the flaws of various phases of life - and that required eventual soft landing to a happy ending.

This was a slice of life book and I appreciated the snapshot of Omaha throughout (as someone who grew up in Omaha and actually performed at the rose theater in 2006!!!) I do think that this could have been about 100 pages shorter than it was!
