Oh I’m melting for the never ending love thingy. It sounds surreal to shut down and just not get to the grief and heartbreaks for ten years, but I really get it.

The trauma for Macy was so complete, her whole life was teared down at once. It really seems like a miracle to even survive that. What I’m bummed about, is that Elliot’s trauma of getting raped was just ignored. How to come over it, especially when the love of your life just disappears after and you have to process getting abused which actually leads to getting heartbroken. Just if the abuse was handled as it is instead of cheating, and just if there was a letter or an email explaining things that she actually read, they could have come through this and heal each other.

Often I think the decade of falling apart is not well enough reasoned or the reasons of splitting are actually something to fall apart for. But this one just makes so much sense.

I am 29 years old. This is the first book that has ever made me actually cry.

“I feel about a thousand times less lonely with you.”

I absolutely adored this friends to lovers, second chance, he falls first romance. Elliot being a true ride or die for Macey made my heart absolutely melt. The tears that were shed throughout this isn't surprising, but the one near the end?! Sheesh, I was a goner!

Reading Macey & Elliot's journey in dual timelines was critical in understanding their history & solid friendship, to what transpired that left them out of contact for many years. My heart truly burst at the love they shared over books, being vulnerable and honest in their early friendship, and coming back together again in the end.

I cannot wait to revisit this beautiful love story.

I loved reading this book from start to finish. I’m realizing more and more that I’m a sucker for books with multiple timelines or points of view. I ate this up, and I’m surprised I didn’t finish it in one day.

Elliot Petropolous, where do I even begin with this man? I think Macy sums it up best when she says there isn’t a guy out there like him. He’s a 6ft+ tall nerd who reads books (including smut), wears glasses, writes high fantasy novels, gives out the best hugs, has muscles, and loves his woman to the ends of the earth. Who wouldn’t want this man??? There were so many times throughout the book where him and Macy are talking, and he’s trying to get her to take him back, where I know I would have folded had I been in her shoes. I would have been weak the moment this man told Macy to her face that he knew he was still in love with her and wouldn’t be able to stay just friends. He’s literally perfect for her in every way shape and form, so it was truly only a matter of time before they got together… too long of a time though
