I very much enjoyed the second half of the book more than the first, but I think it is still a nice, relatively quick read.

Really liked the author’s writing style and the narrator’s reading (Audrey audiobook). I found myself thinking about this book a lot when not actively listening. However the animal cruelty and death made it a very challenging listen and so I just couldn’t rate highly.

The plot point was getting too repetitive that it sort of dragged. I understood it heavily emphasized on "it's a tough world out here and only the strongest can survive" but just how many times do you need to repeat that?
