I really enjoyed the other 2 books in this series but was particularly excited to pick this one up as I have been to New Orleans before and love that city. The author does such a fantastic job of really grounding each book in the location and bringing the history and ghosts to life; I love it. It made it even more fun that I could vividly picture the majority of the locations since I was just there last year. I can't say much about the plot without spoilers since this is the 3rd installment but I loved the character progression and the new characters that were introduced. I'm hopeful that eventually more books will be released in this series.

The stakes are risen in this one in the best way possible! Cassidy keeps finding herself in more and more dangerous situations, continually building on the world that Schwab created in the first book. We get more of Lara in this one, and I'm loving the friendship between her and Cassidy. If there are more books, I definitely hope that she keeps popping in just at the right moment.

If you're looking for a great, spooky middle grade read, I'd definitely recommend this series!

This series just seems to check all the boxes for me- I can’t put them down once I start and I so, so thoroughly enjoy them. They’re creepy but not dark, funny but not goofy, just all-around delightful reads. I particularly enjoyed Bridge of Souls because I went to New Orleans a couple years ago and heard many of the same ghost stories Cassidy did on a ghost tour of the French Quarter. I would love to read more Cassidy Blake books, should Victoria Schwab have time to write them among her many many projects.
