I really liked the beginning of the book but at some point I couldn't enjoy it anymore. A lot of things seemed unrealistic to me and it got a little repetitive.

This is a story about how easily a person's life and interests can change and how sometimes that means people grow apart. This book made me feel so much, at times I hated it. I was constantly battling myself because I wanted to DNF it because I was feeling SO much. At times I felt so distressed or so happy and it was truly draining. I decided to finish it because I knew I'd regret not finding out how this story ended. And of course, This is my first TJR book and honestly I get the hype now.

This made me think of the movie "Castaway" with Tom Hanks. It's the story of the woman (as played by Helen Hunt) left behind and how she needed to build a new life for herself. In many ways, it is far more interesting than the story of survival.
