I went back and forth on whether to give this book three or four stars, but the ending really out it over the top. Never I have I seen so many sudden and exciting plot twists play out over the course of twenty or so pages and kept me glued to my seat all the way to the end. The scene changes to different characters didn’t feel like they dragged as much in this book as others and I thoroughly enjoyed all of William’s misadventures during the revolutionary war. Can’t wait for the next installment.

This book was excellent. I believe this is where the tv show currently is, so it’s interesting to me that the show is ending much, much before the books.

I honestly don’t think that any of them will compare to the first book for me, but all of them have been great and well worth the time.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Great book. Fast paced (even though it’s a thick book). All of the stories inside are interesting and melt together well. I’ve ordered the next book and can’t wait to dig in!!!

Not her best

This was, by far, my least favorite in the series. It was disjointed and left too many dangling ends The storylines were jumbled and, at times, made no sense. I often felt like I "missed something" and found myself backtracking to figure it out. I'm hopeful that the series will right itself in the next book.

i don’t really care about the american revolution, but the rest of the book is incredible.
the minute details i kept forgetting would be carefully braided back into the story. there were also a few times i caught myself saying “well what happened to x!!” only for it to be answered shortly after my exclamation.

absolutely capital story telling.

This book finally had the excitement I've been searching for since book 3! Definitely made me excited to start the next one.

Ranking of the books so far:
1. book 1 - Outlander (always)
2. book 3 - Voyager
3. book 7 - Echo
4. book 2 - Dragonfly
5. books 4-6 I literally can't tell them apart

I've given every book in the series five stars until now. This book was a chore to get through a lot of the time and the constant changing in POVs was dizzying. Also, the storyline became insane right at the end and everything felt rushed.
