A really short Stephen King book. Although a little fantasy element is what this book is all about, I was able to picture the story as I read. Wish there was more it seemed to short but I can actually say I finished a Stephen King book now.

“Everything leads to this, he thought. To this elevation. If it's how dying feels, everyone should be glad to go.”

While checking this book out at the library, right before I left, the librarian looked down to see what I had chosen. As I held "Elevation" in my hand, she glanced up at me, smiled, and said "that one left me feeling "happy." After hearing this remark I was incredibly curious to see what Stephen King had in store this time. Happy. I now know what she meant.

"Elevation" is a feel-good, neat little novella. It's a story about unity and friendship. My only critique was the book was a little too short for my taste. It was like dining on a tasty, warm appetizer dish, but really I could have gone for a full meal.

But still a great story to read, especially during the Halloween season. Happy. The perfect description.

I am back with Stephen King. Had to let him go few years ago since I thought he lost his magic touch in storytelling. I gave this a shot for old times' sake and I did not regret it one second. Looks like I'm gonna be on the Stephen King bandwagon again. I missed the feels of his stories. How he makes you feel compassion and hate at the same time. And sometimes, he makes you reach a point where you doubt how you feel about what you just read. One thing I love about his stories is how he puts feelings and emotions over the supernatural. Though it's inexplicable, I just ignored the fact that the character loses weight in a peculiar way and was just drawn to the relationships of the characters.

A light-hearted book from Steven King. The plot is fairly straightforward but nonetheless enjoyable and introspective.
