I enjoyed this, but I wouldn’t say it was amazing. I wanted about Anne, when it was mostly about all the other side characters.

I recommend reading alongside an audiobook, to help with understanding the cadence and tone

100% recomendado.

This is my second favorite Austen tale (after Pride and Prejudice). Why? Because it is all about regrets and second chances. It is about how people can change, how life can get in the way and conspire against love, and how family doesn't always know best. At its heart, it is a sad book, filled with missed opportunities and misguided help. It is a very realistic tale of what can happen, and frequently does happen, when others speak so loud you do not listen to your own heart. But for all that sadness, it does end happy, and shows that sometimes you do get a second, or third, chance.

I love this book more and more each time I read it. Juliet Stevenson is an amazing narrator for the audiobook. Jane Austen is brilliant. Never fails to make me happy.
