this book sucked ass lmfao. also it was weirdly preachy and self-aggrandizing about the fact that it didn't translate any of its non-english dialogue but the non-english dialogue was also terrible and also she did nothing at all with it. the french (i speak french hi) was like illegibly bad like i literally wish she'd translated it just so i can know for sure what she was trying to say lmfao

There was no disclaimer for explicit sexual content - which would have been greatly appreciated. This book is not my thing a part from my personal preferences clashing with its contents, I also found this book to be, for lack of a better word, boring. It had so many aspects that I would usually love (fae, xianxia etc.), so I'm so sad this book wasn't my cup of tea.

More of a romance than I like, which is probably why I didn't enjoy it as much as most readers. Seemed to be a well written fantasy romance, so if that's something you like, you will probably enjoy the book.
