Cass held her own against Apollo and Ares during her kidnapping and even taught them a few things. She made some new allies and put down two who thought they could actually break her, with the help of her mates. When things were looking dire, Cass was finally able to unlock the genetic mystery locked inside and accepted the power of her bloodline. I laughed at Cass's antics in the shifter realm when she felt she was being insulted and disrespected. I loved how Priestess Irena tried to show her grandson the error of his ways and not get all the shifters killed because of his idiocy. Hell hath no fury like Cass when she encountered daddy dearest and he took something precious to her. He unleashed her beast and the world will burn.

So much happens! This book is pretty much non stop action. We learn a lot about Cass and her heritage and a lot more about her power. She is insanely strong. There is loss and drama and this book was so entertaining! The ending was heart breaking and I can’t wait to see how it all wraps up in the next book.
