I loved this book. I read it so quickly because I just adored the budding romance. I felt like I figured out the connection between the two POVs we had before it came to light, but it was a bit different than expected in some ways. Still, I absolutely wanted to know what was going to happen with each turn! Suspenseful, even when not a suspense book.

Nicholas Sparks is an amazing writer, but this book did not strike a cord in me as much as his other books. I liked the element of mystery and trying to piece together the separate narratives, but wasn't struck by the plot.
I wouldn't turn anyone away from the book, especially if you like stories about aspiring musicians, a dabbling in romance, and an adverse character story.

Nicholas Sparks' 'Dreamland' evoked mixed emotions throughout. Initially, I was drawn to the tale of Colby and Morgan, but as the story unfolded, my engagement waned. Morgan's character, once promising, seemed to lose depth, and the inclusion of music in the narrative left me perplexed – it's challenging to connect with something you can't actually hear.

While Beverly's storyline showed promise, it suffered from gaps and predictabilities. The ending, featuring both a good and not-so-good outcome, added a twist that was both intriguing and perplexing. However, aside from Beverly's narrative, the rest of the writing failed to truly captivate.

In the end, 'Dreamland' stands at a modest two stars in my book. While it had its moments, it falls short of being a compelling read due to its shortcomings in character development, the handling of music in the story, and the unevenness of the endings.
