Buckle up guys, this is going to be a long ride.

I’d give the book as a whole, 3 stars. There are some stories that I didn’t like, they were slightly repetitive and something that have been done before millions of times. I really was excited for this book because it has my favorite authors—Pepper Winters, Lylah James, Cora Reilly, Giana Darling and Ashley Jade. So many amazing authors.
Imagine my disappointment when I read this. But, thankfully, some of these authors rescued the situation before it went downhill.

Let me just clarify that I’ll be talking just about this one story in detail, because, it was really my favorite and when I found out that there might not be a book for these two... I was close to crying. And let me tell you, if their book someday happens, I call dibs on Cas and Saffron, yeah? They’re mine. Only mine.

I really enjoyed this anthology and I liked all of the stories. The writing style for every story was amazing and I loved to see different characters and scenarios in one book.

The Dirty Bargain by Lylah James & Cora Reilly

Arc provided in exchange for honest review ~

Let me just say that this short story is literally one of my favorites. Not gonna lie, it is extremely hard for me to really like any short story/novella if it doesn't execute well, but The Dirty Bargain seriously crosses my expectations. I seriously didn't expect to enjoy and love it so much and my god, let me tell ya that this story is such a serve which got me hooked from the beginning till the end. I'm a sucker for all the tropes in the story and I have to admit that I couldn't get enough after finishing it. I kinda wished for it to be a full length instead of a novella because this story was written extremely well. Moreover, I loved the characters especially Killer which he managed to steal my heart despite his psychotic personality. Overall, this story is considered as one of the best and I don't mind rereading it again in the future. Highly recommend!

The Dirty Bargain by Lylah James & Cora Reilly

*ARC received for an honest review *

I was really excited for this short story when Cora Reilly, one of my favourite author announced it in her Facebook group with Collaboration with Lylah James. I read it a year ago. It was my first work of Lylah I was introduced to n I was really intrigued by her writing & later after reading her other works made her one of the favourite author.

This book was really good. And the characters were interesting and had my attention since the prologue itself.

Talia was introduced in Bound by Vengeance, the 5th book of the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles as Carla's younger sister & the cousin of Luca Vitiello, the Capo of the New York Famiglia.
She was really strong after everything she went through & was ready to go to any level to get revenge against someone that hurt her n her family. She goes into the enemy territory, the Bratvas in search of a hitman named Killer in order to get her revenge.

Killer was a ruthless Russian assassin with a dark past. He was cold & closed off towards everyone. But after he met Talia, he started opening up a bit n his softer side started coming into existence.

Talia n Killer were so cute n sweet. They had insane chemistry since their first encounter n before they even said one word to each other. Even though Killer is a dangerous man, he made sure Talia was comfortable & was protective of her.

I was happy that some of my favourite BIBMC characters made an appearance.

The only cons of this is that it was really short & the last chapters including the ending was rushed.

Otherwise it was an easy read. And the combination of this two writers was

Short dark romance stories and glimpses into upcoming stories co-written by some of the stars of the genre you say? All contained in one anthology you say? I say yes please and gimmie. This was an absolute dream to read. The stories in this anthology are so delicious and dark I want full length versions of all of them. But as with most things, I have my favourites. Of this collection it's Stalker, Collateral and Mr Foster, which if they was full length would be getting 6 stars each from me. There's not really a weak entry in this collections so snap it up while you can. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.
