Another humorous adventure of the bumbling but capable City Watch that this time explores jingoism, xenophobia and the stupidity of war. Great book 5.5

Dear God it took me nearly two years to read this. i thought it had only been one. it wasn't the cleanest writing or storytelling or maybe reading while toddler momming just made the whole concentrating thing harder to manage, which honestly seems the more likely. In those two years I restarted Jingo at least twice. I'm hoping I can make it through The Fifth Elephant more smoothly though I must first admit I once started it and didn't get past the first or maybe third page so.. .
3.7 stars honestly

vetinari is so silly i love that man.

but again, i just really adore the discworld books, especially the city watch series. pratchett does an incredible job at building up these characters while not losing the charm of what makes them *them.* i loved the world building of klatch so much, and i really hope that nobby is trans. love u jingo
