I think this book did a great job introducing feminism to teenage girls. This was a great YA novel because Jennifer opened up conversations about rape and sexual assault, patriarchy, and the sexist dress code in the school system. I like how Moxie was honest about how school administration will turn a blind eye to students if they have a problem but will coddle high school football players even if they did something wrong. Male Fragility and Male Supremacy are definitely huge problems in our society. Especially in the school system.  This is a great starter book for anybody if they want to learn how to speak up. The last thing I love about this book is Seth. He is so sweet and willing to learn from Vivian about what it's like being a girl in a sexist society. SETH. IS. MY. KING!!!! 👑

While I felt like the relationship between Viv and Seth was forced (a reason why I gave it 4 stars), they've definitely maintained a healthy relationship.

I also think the diversity could've been a bit better but I also understand that Moxie takes place in a small conservative town in Texas

Really loved the netflix film and wanted to see what the book had to offer. The film is a pretty true adaptation! The book fleshed out one thing that didn't totally make sense in the film (the big party at the end).
