I enjoyed reading this. I liked that it was more psychological thriller and less police procedural. I also loved that the lead detective wasn’t a washed up, alcoholic, deeply flawed middle aged bloke. What a relief.
Flicking between different characters POV, we learn that the woman who has been kidnapped has been deceitful to everybody in her life.
She’s a bigamist. Bitch. Said every single character in this book at least once a chapter. Now, I fully understand a lover being pissed off that they’ve been cheated on, but do other people outside the spousal relationships really care if somebody is married to more than one person? Would the police actually follow this up, lay charges and it go to court?
