I was quickly drawn in to this story of Leigh and Kai, who go missing around the same time, leaving their husbands (and in Leigh’s case stepsons) distraught. It’s only through the tenacity of DC Clements, who follows her gut instincts that there is a connection between these disappearances, and sticks to her guns despite being told time and again by her boss to leave it, that they and we are able to get to the bottom of what’s going on.
There are plenty of twists and a couple of gasp out loud moments. I love a book that makes me gasp out loud!
I admit I was a bit disappointed with the ending. Not because it was a “bad” ending (although it did seem a bit rushed to me), but because I wanted to know the fall-out from what happened.

Audiobook: Slow start…really picked up the last third of the book. I only hung on cause of the fun little twist revealed earlier on and I needed to know the turn out!

This book is frustrating to me because the concept of the book was great. The beginning really drew you in. But as the book went on the “twist” became extremely obvious. This would make a great tv show or movie though!
