It is absurd and bizarre. Many have, however, criticized its impulsiveness and sexual themes as disrespectful or in poor taste. I'd argue that as completely silly and non sequitur as this is, these issues are handled with cathartic and optimistic care. My advice is to empty your thoughts and peruse the beautifully drawn panels.
Started watching the anime because I think the VA for Okarun is hot at voices so how could I miss up a chance to watch listen to him play a blushy dork? Frankly, could do with less weird sexualization of a literal high school girl. Otherwise, blatant CSM and JJK inspo (couldn't have taken the parts where the women and girls didn't get panty shots as inspo, tho?) aside, I have hopes for this manga. Decided to start reading for more backstory, and the artists' use of perspective is a highlight.
Such a great manga series from the story to the characters and especially the art. The story is wacky but really fun and one of those stories that actually make me laugh. The characters are all so quirky and unique whilst being diverse and the interactions are priceless.
The artwork is the biggest highlight for me, the style is very aesthetic and nice and the double spreads are just beautiful.
There’s nothing bad to say about this manga but the only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I’m caught up with the digital chapters so I know the heights this series reached outside of volume 1

I am loving the manga so far. The anime captured the vibe of the manga so well. The pure bonkers craziness of this story works so well in both mediums. The art here is just as gorgeous as expected. Dandadan is a mind fuck of an experience and I love it.
