I don’t know what it was about this book but I didn’t seem to connect with the characters like I did in the first one. Hopefully I get back on track in the third and final book!

Such a good expansion of the world from
The first book. We’ve got canon non-binary characters, space battles, a cult with pathetic yet scary devotees à la QAnon and other right wing groups, and ass kicking women and POC. It is a bit slow in the middle but it’s fascinating the whole time. I love these characters!
