A collection of poems that, unfortunately, did not work for me

Poetry is always a matter of personal taste and context. And even though I loved some poems collection, I did not connect with this one at all. First of all, I prefer poems that are short/that have short verses because it is easier to read them. Here, I just didn’t how to read it, how to give it a sort of rhythm. Second, I didn’t get what the author was trying to convey. Maybe I would have gotten it at another point of my life, who knows. All I can say is that the collection of poems did not work for me today.
