This book get much longer than necessary. The writing wasn’t interesting. The storyline was mildly entertaining but I found myself struggling to understand family dynamics and ages.

I really enjoyed this book! It was very interesting to read a book about audiobook actors, while listening to the audiobook! It’s certainly brought to light how impactful our day-to-day actions, including our jobs, can have on public perception and how we’re seen. As someone who loves audiobooks and fully supports audiobook actors just as much as I support other actors and any other profession, it was really interesting to have a plot driven by someone participating in an audiobook, and then having that backfire on their career. I thought the character development was well written, I loved hearing about the entire family dynamics, and I am always invested in second chance romance, so it was a great book for me!

While the story had promise, I don’t think it delivered as well as I hoped. I didn’t really like the FMC, I felt that she was immature and didn’t actually change until the last 10% of the book. I really liked Sam’s character and his ambition. Overall, it was an ok read but it wasn’t my favorite.

This didn't Rom-Com the way it should have Rom-Com-ed!

It wasn't a great butterfly inducing read and nor was it that bad for me to DNF. Banter between the two main characters didn't engage me enough and the plot was okay.

The resolution for the third act break-up didn't sit that well with me
