This was so cute, the art looked like Disney's Mulan and I loved how the story celebrates Asian features.
I read this about 6 or 7 times this week to all my 1st-2nd grade classes in the library, but I could still read it a thousand more times because it is SO GOOD! The illustrations are beautiful, all the familial connections are so sweet, and the book’s message of self-love being revolutionary and empowering is such a great thing for young kids to hear. This is truly one of the best picture books I have ever read, it is simply spectacular!
