I loved this book. Heartbreaking and devastating but rich. I loved to learn about the perspective of Indigenous people and generational trauma. **Check trigger warnings before reading***

PLEASE READ THE CONTENT WARNINGS! This book is really graphic, I didn’t want to finish.

Easily just soared to the top of my favorite books of all time. So beautifully written with such devastating heartbreak. I’m going to be thinking about Betty for a long time.

So far in my life, reading all the books I have read Betty is by far my favourite book of all time, I loved the healing nature of her dad and how great his relationship was with her
And the cruel relationship she had with her mother who was quite clearly suffering
Betty stuck with her through thick and thin
I would recommend this book to anyone although it has dark tones it’s an incredible read
