Despite knowing exactly how everything would go down, I cried.
I cry mostly out of care for the people who live on after Dumbledores death, the weight they carry from their loss, and Harry's new determination and will to finish the fight without his greatest supporter
Naturally, I wish I had read the book before I watched the movie, but maybe now I can actually watch the movie without falling asleep. I think there was a lot that could have been excluded from the books, some things dragged on and others did not get enough time. Also, I feel like the author that shall not be named added the romantic relationships as an attempt to balance all the mature content at the end, to make the book feel lighter and more in touch with the kids day to day rather than the overarching horror of what is to come. Also, I have to question why this had to be written through the story of the Half-Blood Prince. Up until now, every book was titled after something that was guiding  the plot, but this time they chose the Half-Blood Prince? I understand the relevance to the story, but I also feel like it didnt add much. I'll have to put more thought into it. Also, I can figure why some would consider Draco redeemable (but not redeemed) but to be pro-Snape? You're buggin if you can find empathy for that man. And I know what happens next too, I know his truths. He's still fucked for all that. ALSO, the way that these characters were talking about werewolves in front of Lupin? Disgosten.
