Song that codes this book: Sweeter than fiction by Taylor Swift
I think Liz’s idealism got annoying at times, and her lack of being a girl’s girl really was not cute. That being said, it does make her a realistic character instead of a perfect FMC, and it does hit home with the reader that she is, in fact, seventeen and naive.
Overall though I really liked this book. There was something so sweet about how this depicts the nostalgia and feelings of senior year of high school. I thought the author portrayed that really well, as well as the kind of bright eyed, hopeful, fearless falling in love that only really happens when you’re right on the cusp of adulthood with endless possibilities before you.

This one’s for the romantics. Reading this book felt like being back in high school and falling in love for the first time (no seriously, I felt like a lovesick teenager). I AM OBSESSED.
