Would have liked to see more character depth and a more fleshed out magic system. Tbh I could write an essay on why the first two books of this series are the weakest. Also fuck TERFS.

Moderate: Racism, Fatphobia, and Misogyny

There is something so comforting about this book, probably because it was such a prominent part of my childhood. I'm rereading the series for the fourth time, and I am definitely noticing a lot more plot holes and just all-around bad writing on JKR's part (as well as the obvious racism/sexism/homophobia/etc.). Despite this, the world-building is incredible and I can't help but love all of the characters. I also adore Harry's POV.

Moderate: Death, Death of parent, and Grief
