This is one of my all time favorite books. I read it in 7th grade, which in hindsight was probably too young (see content warnings) but I love how the author has reimagined the world of the Trojan war, even down to the pantheons of deities, to tell an epic feminist story. Kassandra is a strong-willed, lovable narrator, and all of the other characters in this book are complex and interesting. The pacing is very slow, but trust me when I say that it's worth sticking with it. I have memorized certain page numbers that I go back specifically to reread and just cry because they're so emotional. I would highly recommend.
