An icon from my childhood, I jumped at buying this book!
Right from the beginning you get pulled into her life, and find out things you never knew about her. There is even a couple of 'holy crap' moments in the book. You know she has had an amazing life, but you just don't get the full extent until you read her story.
It was a quick read too. Although the ending felt rushed and not well planned out. It's like she didn't know how to end the book. Other than that it was insightful and fun!
Fans will devour it anyway!

Debbie Harry finds a way to stay lighthearted while describing some incredibly difficult topics that she faced throughout her career. While this book would likely be appreciated the most by fans of Blondie, I think there is enough of a variety of content that anybody would be able to enjoy it.

I liked maybe 2-3 chapters of this when she told stories about other musicians. I would start to like it, then she’d pop off some racist or conceited shit. She had at least 3 epilogues talking about her beauty and fan art.

I listened to her narrate the audiobook. I don’t think she knows how spoken language works. It picked up past the middle when she sounds drunk. This is the first audiobook that I hate-listened to.
