“Never mix vodka and witchcraft”

The perfect fall read!! So witchy, cute and funny! I absolutely loved this one. Rhys and Vivi have amazing chemistry and you as the reader and rooting for them throughout the book.

I feel like this was the perfect amount of slow burn. It doesn’t take too long for something to happen and there is the perfect amount of chemistry building up!

I absolutely recommend this if you’re looking for a super fast pasted read for spooky season! It’s a slow burn, second chance, enemies to lovers and found family read :) not to mention there is a second book with Gwyn you can read right after if you love this book!

2.5 stars. I was excited for this one, and it started out really great! But it didn’t go anywhere. And the main conflict was so anticlimactic. Just eh.

An ok book to get me into the mood for fall. The spice felt like it was just shoved in there and didn't really add anything to the overall story. It didn't ruin it or anything just could have been the same story without it.

Es una historia sencilla y entretenida. Es como cuando ves una película com rom regular que ves que pasa en televisión y te quedas enganchada disfrutandola a pesar que no es nada del otro mundo.

The Ex Hex by Erin Stirling

Nine years ago, Vivienne Jones, with the help of her cousin Gwyn, drunkenly hexed her ex-boyfriend, thinking it was a joke. Little do they know, the hex worked. Now, Rhys Penhallow, Vivi’s ex and descendant of the town’s ancestors, has returned to Graves Glen, Georgia. He is supposed to recharge the ley lines in the town, a tradition his family has done once every 25 years. Instead, the curse Vivi set on him has transferred into the ley lines and is affecting the entire town. The pair will have to work together to reverse the curse.

This was a charming witchy rom-com, perfect for a Halloween read. I loved the characters in the story, and Vivi and Rhys oozed chemistry. I’m excited to see that Goodreads has this marked as the first in a series, so there will be at least a sequel on the way! I hope we will learn more about the magic in this world in the sequel; that was one thing I would have liked to see improved in this book. I definitely recommend this one for the romance fans in the group.

This does have some sex scenes, so be warned if you’re underage or don’t like that kind of stuff in the books you read.
