Another sweet easy read!

Robert's bff is getting married and he's been tasked to be the best man, a task he's not too enthused about, having done this 4 times already for his brothers. However things definitely start to look up upon meeting the bride's own sexy, confident brother Seb.

Seb is equally smitten by the shy, geeky Robert but they both agree to put off sealing the deal until they see their loved ones happily riding into the sunset.

Commence a nice slow burn of fully getting to know one another over 2 long short months of planning, flirting, fantasizing.

As with all the good stories in this event, this was too short and left me wanting more.

Okay, I'm just going to come right out and say it: this story was cuuuuuuuuu-ute!

I found that the first few pages suffered a little from tryingtooharditis, but capturing that casual, slightly irreverent narrative style is undoubtedly hard to achieve right off the bat.

The writing smoothed out really quickly, though, and I was a smitten kitten from the instant Seb and Rob set eyes on each other. Talk about a meet cute! And there was just something so incredibly sweet about their instant chemistry; I didn't even try to fight the stupid grin that took over my face.

For such a short story, The Best Man had its share of funny lines. My favourite line, though - by far - was, "He forced himself to list prime ministers." That one simultaneously startled a laugh out of me and had me shuddering as I pictured Canada's current PM. Ewwww! That shit is waaaaaay more effective than reciting baseball stats, I can tell you. :)

While I agree with my girl Dani - I really do wish the epilogue had been about our couple - that last sentence was all kinds of sigh-inducing. And, you know, maybe it leaves the door open another short story featuring Seb and Rob...?

*glances hopefully in Lori's general direction*

Very nice, largely well structured short story - all the elements I wanted are here. Pacy and flowed well.
I loved the British words and humour. Enjoyed the MC's - Robert perhaps didn't come over as geeky/nerdy as the words implied but I liked him anyway. Seb was a great foil.
Nicely as sweet as the cake they bake, a great free read.
Strong 3.5*

28.12.18 reread : enjoyed immensely again. Pacy and read well, the perils of a wedding done well without being too stereotypical.

"Time and waiting had left them both needy. Both wanting. Both willing to give and needing to take."

Most adorable of adorable photo prompts.

Super cute but also super short. I WANT MORE. Who do I need to beg for a sequel like with [b:Game On|22907530|Game On (Game On, #1)|Olley White|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1407831561s/22907530.jpg|42470883] and [b:First Time|23244622|First Time (Game On, #1.5)|Olley White|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1410960868s/23244622.jpg|42788042]?
