This was a surprising great find on Ku. I picked this up for a challenge read, it surpassed my expectations completely. It has amazing world building that fascinated me from start to finish, the way all the weres live and the diffferent cultures of all the animals were so interesting to see.

I liked how Tamarind and Shakra didn't just jump into a relationship and both took time to understand the other, figuring out how they worked as a pair and it was so much fun to see them develop. Also has an interesting plot that really worked in the setting and was great to see both povs, how Tamarind and Shakra handled everything.

Oh and the rest of the cast were amazing too, I especially adored Shang who was always a great voice of reason. Lormor and Kyrill were sweet too, I liked that we got to have a little look at their history too which was lovely. The villains were rather well done too if predictive but rather fitting to the structures of the weres cultures and various groups.

I just enjoyed this one a lot more then I expected and it was so unique in so many ways, especially with the weres and how it stayed true to the animals. From their likes, dislikes and various strengths to weakness of each kind it was done incredible well. I adored all these characteristics being shown, from the Hunt to the way they ate and how they handle their environment it was just so much fun.

The romance between Tamarind and Shakra was full of soft feels and passion, I loved every moment of this story. It has a wonderful ending too that was so fitting!
