this was really slow for me and I had to drag myself back to it. I can appreciate the message and did get a bit teary at the end, but ultimately it took me too long to get through this tiny book.

I found myself quite taken with the characters and the storyline! It had a unique and quite interesting theme.
However, I couldn't help but feel that the narrative lacked depth and could have been enriched with more details. Both the characters and the storyline had rich potential, yet the author only scratched the surface. :( Perhaps if the author went into the depths of the story and provided the space needed to fully develop these aspects, it would have been better and allow the readers to immerse themselves more fully in the story. Possibly this is the reason why I struggled to form a deep connection with the characters, even though I loved each one of them individually.
Despite these weaknesses, I enjoyed the book; it was a pleasant and easy read! Exactly what you need when you want to take a break from more challenging reads. :)
